Three hundred years in the future, mankind still is trying to survive the Great Collision that changed the earth forever. People live in pockets of civilization called compounds, battling the elements and the mutations which have developed over the centuries, trying to live and survive day by day.

Yulen D’Jacques is the Battle Lord of Alta Novis. His duty is to keep his compound and his people safe, which means yearly sweeps of the area to remove any mutated men and animals from encroaching.

Atrilan Ferran is Mutah, a mutant warrior and huntress trained to protect and defend her home from Cleaners, the “normals” who invade the forests to slaughter everything and everyone who gets in their way.

They never anticipated the day when their hearts would collide, challenging and changing everything they thought was the truth. Leading them to the day they would have to prove their love for each other to man and mutant alike.

A Birthday Gift FROM Me...and You!

To celebrate my 55th birthday this month, I want to give a gift to the 100+ year old Star of Hope Homeless Shelter in Houston. This wonderful mission has helped so many people over the years--children, women and men--and with your help it will continue its work for many years to come.

For every copy of my romantic suspense novel Onslaught that sells in April, I will donate 55 cents to the Star of Hope. If you're interested in helping, just buy the book at any of these sites:

Oh Spring, Where Art Thou?

At the time of me writing this post, it’s cold and wet outside. Here in Houston we just had a week of beautiful eighty degree days and now winter has returned. Next week is Spring Break, which seems like a cruel joke. Usually I take the kids on an annual road trip for Spring Break. We drive up into the hill country, go through Brenham, and see Texas wildflowers all along our route. I love bluebonnets and always take the time to get pictures of my girls within a sea of blue. I have a feeling that won’t be happening this year. For one thing there are no wildflowers out yet anywhere. For another, I’m allowing my oldest to travel to New Orleans with her boss’ family. Yeah I’m kind of terrified.

So, this will probably be a quiet Spring Break spent close to home. We have two different projects to finish between my two youngest, and I’ve got a ridiculous amount of writing to catch up on. By the time this posts it will all be over. So, how is your Spring coming along?

Leaving a comment will get you entered to win your choice from my back list! I’ll choose a winner tomorrow morning via Please add your email address to your comment. Plus, all commenters will be thrown into the hat for the grand prize drawing at the end of my tour. You could win a Missy Jane tote full of gently used books. Good luck!

Here’s a peek at my newest release:

He loves me, he loves me not. He loves me…okay, the truth is he doesn’t really like me right now, but I have a plan to change his mind. I see the way he looks at me with heat in his eyes. Sean Maxwell might be a confirmed bachelor, but a taste of Ms. Megan Nettle is just what he needs to soften his hard exterior. And once I get him in my bed, he won’t want to leave. There’s nothing some hot lovin’ can’t fix.

But my persistence backfires when he decides he’s too dangerous for little ole me. Something in his past is driving a wedge between us, and he’s determined to stay away. That’s not going to happen. This calls for some serious seduction. I’ll use those sparks between us to melt away his rule of two dates max.
