Oh Spring, Where Art Thou?

At the time of me writing this post, it’s cold and wet outside. Here in Houston we just had a week of beautiful eighty degree days and now winter has returned. Next week is Spring Break, which seems like a cruel joke. Usually I take the kids on an annual road trip for Spring Break. We drive up into the hill country, go through Brenham, and see Texas wildflowers all along our route. I love bluebonnets and always take the time to get pictures of my girls within a sea of blue. I have a feeling that won’t be happening this year. For one thing there are no wildflowers out yet anywhere. For another, I’m allowing my oldest to travel to New Orleans with her boss’ family. Yeah I’m kind of terrified.

So, this will probably be a quiet Spring Break spent close to home. We have two different projects to finish between my two youngest, and I’ve got a ridiculous amount of writing to catch up on. By the time this posts it will all be over. So, how is your Spring coming along?

Leaving a comment will get you entered to win your choice from my back list! I’ll choose a winner tomorrow morning via random.org. Please add your email address to your comment. Plus, all commenters will be thrown into the hat for the grand prize drawing at the end of my tour. You could win a Missy Jane tote full of gently used books. Good luck!

Here’s a peek at my newest release:

He loves me, he loves me not. He loves me…okay, the truth is he doesn’t really like me right now, but I have a plan to change his mind. I see the way he looks at me with heat in his eyes. Sean Maxwell might be a confirmed bachelor, but a taste of Ms. Megan Nettle is just what he needs to soften his hard exterior. And once I get him in my bed, he won’t want to leave. There’s nothing some hot lovin’ can’t fix.

But my persistence backfires when he decides he’s too dangerous for little ole me. Something in his past is driving a wedge between us, and he’s determined to stay away. That’s not going to happen. This calls for some serious seduction. I’ll use those sparks between us to melt away his rule of two dates max.

I'm happy to say, on the drive to Irving on Friday I saw lots of Bluebonnets. :-)

It always gets cold in San Antonio right before Spring Break, too! And this year--beautiful weather the week before, beautiful weather the week after. The week of? Not so much!

MJ, isn't that the way it always is? :-(
Thanks for stopping by!

Spring's making the occasional appearance here--the sun's peeking out today! Yesterday, it poured ;p And I know we need the rain, but days of being soggy isn't very fun--I'm a bad candidate for moving to Seattle. Or the rainforest :)

Hope you're getting lots done and enjoying the spring, Missy!
